The Crop Quality Lab is designed to provide real world research information on the quality of the wheat, oat, corn and other cereals of economic importance to South Dakota producers. It has state of the art equipment for quality evaluation of foods, new food product development, food processing and food innovations. The research supports the wheat and oat breeding programs as well as several industry supported projects. Dr. Padu Krishnan, SDSU Cereal Chemist and Food Scientist, directs the activites of the CQL.
The SDSU Seed Technology Laboratory is located at the corner of 22nd Ave and SD Hwy 14.
