The Department of Labor and Regulation offers a variety of services and training opportunities that provide consumer choice and career pathways to ensure adults and youth attain their desired goals. Career Pathways is a series of structured and connected education programs. Career Pathways allow students to view their next steps in education, training, and in a career.
Round Table SessionsDiscover how industry recognized certification can increase career prospects and academic success. Information will be given on how to become a Certiport Authorized Testing Center and deliver certifications to students including: Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Technology Associate, Adobe Certified Associate, Autodesk Certified User, QuickBooks Certified User, IC3 Digital Literacy, and Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management. Learn how Brookings High School was able to implement certifications in the 2016-2017 school year and what this means to their students. Certiport will provide demo material to any instructor attending this session that is interested in evaluating certification programs.

CNA Training Ideas

The Yankton AHEC has partnered with the Yankton School District, and other districts in the region, as well as a regional long term care facility to incorporate a CNA CTE curriculum that brings together these multiple entities, provides students with a top notch learning opportunity, and provides the region with capable, well-educated care takers.
